WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today announced Louisiana will receive $5,053,345.45 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in relief for Hurricane Laura.
“Our families in Southwest Louisiana are resilient despite the devastation Laura and other storms have caused,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help our communities fully recover.”
Calcasieu Parish will receive $4,787,379.90 to elevate 18 flood-prone residential structures and remove two damaged structures and $265,965.55 for management costs related to the mitigation of 20 residential flood-prone structures.
