WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today announced Louisiana will receive $12,907,967.54 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in relief for Hurricane Laura.
“More than two years later, Lake Charles is still reeling from the devastation of Hurricane Laura,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help Southwest Louisiana families continue on the road to recovery.”
The Lake Charles Charter Academy Foundation, Inc., Calcasieu Parish School Board, and the City of Lake Charles will all benefit from this grant.
