WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today announced the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will grant a total of $9,577,550.75 in relief for Hurricanes Ida & Laura, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Through COVID-19 and multiple natural disasters, Louisiana families remain resilient,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding gives our local communities the tools they need to bounce back and be better prepared for the next crisis.”
Communities that will benefit include the City of New Orleans, Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, the Louisiana Department of Public Safety, West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital, the City of Grand Isle, Children’s Hospital of New Orleans, and the City of Natchitoches.
