WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today announced the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will grant a total of $33,392,985.73 in relief for Hurricane Ida. “Almost a year later, Louisiana families are still reeling from the devastation of Hurricane Ida,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding gives our coastal communities the tools they need to get back on their feet.” Communities that will benefit include the Louisiana Office of Emergency Preparedness, Lafourche Parish, and the St. James Parish Housing Authority.
