Today, US Senator Bill Cassidy, MD (R-LA) released a statement on the largest ever proposed oil and gas lease sale in United States history. The Department of the Interior’s proposal includes 76,967,935 acres in federal waters in the Gulf of Mexico, off the shore of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.
“President Trump and his administration are following through on their promise to end the war on American energy,” said Dr. Cassidy. “Investing in energy creates better jobs with better benefits for working families, strengthens our national security and strengthens our energy independence.”
