WASHINGTON— U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. released the following statement after joining Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) and others to cosponsor a Senate resolution designating the week of January 24, 2016 as National School Choice Week:
“Classrooms are not one-size fits all. When my daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia, she needed a specialized curriculum to help her reach her full academic potential. Like my daughter, all children should have access to the best tools and resources they need to succeed. That’s why I’m joining Senator Scott in recognizing the week of January 24th, 2016 as National School Choice Week. Together, we must advocate for parents and students to have the power to make educational decisions that best fit their needs.”
