Cassidy Announces $7.6 Million in Hurricanes Laura, Ida Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $7,644,296.32 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricanes Laura and Ida relief.

“The strength and resiliency Louisianans showed in the aftermath of Hurricanes Laura and Ida still shines brightly today,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding aids recovery efforts and returns our communities to wholeness.”

$3,564,654.04Jefferson Davis Electric Cooperative, Inc.This grant will provide federal funding for emergency protective measures as a result of Hurricane Laura.
$2,098,348.92Department of Wildlife and FisheriesThis grant will provide federal funding to the Office of Risk Management for building repairs and replacement as a result of Hurricane Laura. 
$1,981,293.36St. Charles Public School BoardThis grant will provide federal funding to St. Charles Public Schools for emergency protective measures in the form of dehumidifying, decontaminating, and cleaning as a result of Hurricane Ida.
