Cassidy Announces $11.7 Million in Hurricane Laura, Ida Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $11,688,359.21 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricanes Laura and Ida relief. Jefferson Davis Electric Cooperative, Inc. will receive $8,822,060.58 for emergency protective measures as a result of Hurricane Laura. Terrebonne Parish will receive $2,866,298.63 for debris removal operations as a result of Hurricane Ida. 


“Despite being hit hard by hurricanes over the past few years, Louisiana is resilient,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help our communities continue to recover and prepare for the next storm.”
