WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $3,229,142.13 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricane Ida relief. The city of Gretna will receive $2,093,384.18 for Public Assistance Alternate Procedures debris removal. The Lafitte Area Independent Levee District will receive $1,135,757.95 for damages.
“Louisiana has proved its resiliency while recovering from Hurricane Ida,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help restore our communities and ensure they are better prepared when the next storm hits.”
