Cassidy Announces $24.1 Million for Louisiana in Hurricane Laura Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $24,078,966.14 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricane Laura relief.

“Louisiana has shown remarkable resilience while recovering from Hurricane Laura,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding is a significant step towards restoring McNeese University and the surrounding communities of Southwest Louisiana.”

$12,825,812.80Cameron School Board OfficeThis grant will provide federal funding for replacement of the South Cameron High School Gymnasium as a result of Hurricane Laura.
$3,944,437.65Office of Risk ManagementThis grant will provide federal funding for repairs to the main campus of McNeese University as a result of damages incurred during Hurricane Laura.
$1,146,677.28City of Lake CharlesThis grant will provide federal funding for damages to Buddy Prejean Park as a result of Hurricane Laura.
