WASHINGTON –U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $5,004,899.54 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in hurricane and winter storm relief.
“Hurricanes and winter storms have taken a toll on Louisiana, but our communities remain resilient,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding helps heal our communities from past weather events and ensures we are prepared for the future.”

$1,975,522.91 | Calcasieu Parish School Board | This grant will provide federal funding for permanent repairs to the Westlake High School campus as a result of Hurricane Laura. |
$1,761,688.81 | Office of Risk Management | This grant will provide federal funding for the repair of statewide educational buildings as a result of severe winter storms. |
$1,267,687.82 | Ochsner Clinic Foundation | This grant will provide federal funding for systemwide emergency protective measures as a result of Hurricane Ida. |
