Cassidy Announces $1 Million for Audubon Commission in Hurricane Ida Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced the Audubon Commission will receive $1,000,413.02 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for permanent zoo repairs as a result of Hurricane Ida.

“New Orleans’ beloved Audubon Zoo is getting FEMA funding for Hurricane Ida repairs,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This will help return the zoo to wholeness and ensure one of Louisiana’s most treasured attractions can be enjoyed for many years to come.”
