WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $7,715,437.54 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricanes Laura and Ida relief.
“The effects of Hurricanes Laura and Ida are still felt deeply throughout Louisiana, but our communities are resilient,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help South Louisiana continue to rebuild and prepare for future storms.”

$1,164,966.78 | Calcasieu Parish Police Jury | This grant will provide federal funding for building repairs as a result of Hurricane Laura. |
$2,796,234.87 | Lafourche Parish Hospital Service District #1 | This grant will provide federal funding for reconciliation of management costs incurred as a result of Hurricane Ida. |
$1,368,846.90 | Terrebonne Parish Recreation District #4 | This grant will provide federal funding for the replacement of the Grand Caillou community pool as a result of Hurricane Ida. |
$2,385,388.99 | Terrebonne Parish | This grant will provide federal funding for the replacement of the Agriculture Center Office as a result of Hurricane Ida. |
