WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced the Greater Lafourche Port Commission will receive $1,875,441.09 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for permanent restoration work required as a result of Hurricane Ida.
“Strong and resilient ports are a crucial part of Louisiana’s coastal communities,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will support repairs to ensure Port Fourchon is prepared for future storms.”
