WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will grant Louisiana a total of $4,831,333.00 to improve local airports from his Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).
“Airports are often the most important impression for someone coming to invest in our cities to create jobs and opportunities for families,” said Dr. Cassidy. “Investment in our local airports from the Infrastructure Law is helping us build an economy for 2050.”

$881,000.00 | Greater Lafourche Port Commission | This grant will provide federal funding to construct a new terminal parking lot at South Lafourche Leonard Miller Jr. Airport. |
$640,000.00 | Airport Authority District No. 1 Calcasiu Parish | This grant will provide federal funding to reconstruct the airport general aviation area access road at Lake Charles Regional Airport. |
$700,866.00 | Ascension-St. James Airport and Transportation Authority | This grant will provide federal funding to expand the existing terminal apron at Louisiana Regional Airport. |
$354,877.00 | City of New Roads and Pointe Coupee Parish | This grant will provide federal funding to reseal the runway, taxiway, and apron pavement at False River Regional Airport. |
$300,000.00 | City of Ruston | This grant will provide federal funding to construct a new t-hangar taxi lane at Ruston Regional Airport. |
