WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Jefferson Davis Electric Cooperative, Inc. will receive $5,781,659.91 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for management costs as a result of Hurricane Laura.
“The impact of hurricanes can be felt long after the wake of the storm, but Louisianans are resilient,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding allows Jefferson Davis Parish to rebuild and prepare for the next storm.”
