WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $17,311,616.62 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricanes Laura and Ida relief.
“It has been years since Hurricanes Laura and Ida, and Louisiana families are still recovering,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help our coastal communities remain resilient.”
The Calcasieu Parish School Board, the Office of Risk Management, the Houma Terrebonne Housing Authority, South Louisiana Electric Cooperative Association, and the Louisiana Department of Children & Family Services will all benefit from this funding.
