WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today announced the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) will grant the Twin Parish Port District near Delcambre, Louisiana $2,000,000 for port improvements. The MARAD Port Infrastructure Development Program (PIDP) grant will fund a dock restoration project and the construction of an industrial fabrication facility at the port.
“Investing in our ports improves supply chains and connects Louisiana with the globe,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This type of investment is crucial to our state, and we will see many more like it with the bipartisan infrastructure bill.”
