WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today announced the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will grant Louisiana a total of $27,629,735.93 in relief for Hurricanes Laura and Ida. The Grant Parish Police Jury, the Society of the Roman Catholic Church, St. James Parish, Jefferson Parish, and Plaquemines Parish will all benefit from the relief.
“As we have seen this week, Louisiana families continue to feel the brunt of natural disasters,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help South Louisiana communities rebuild and prepare for future storms.”
