WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) will grant Louisiana a total of $448,000.00 to improve and modernize local airports in Louisiana from his Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). Specifically, the Harry P Williams Memorial Airport and Jennings Airport will benefit from these grants. Since last fall, Louisiana airports have received a total of $58.5 million in IIJA funding, with more expected over the next three years.
“Investment in our airports makes Louisiana attractive for business and strengthens our economy,” said Dr. Cassidy. “The infrastructure law continues to make this possible.”
