WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today announced the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will grant Louisiana a total of $47,374,646.44 as a result of Hurricanes Ida and Laura. The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, Jefferson Davis Electric Cooperative Inc., the Town of Iowa, the City of Monroe, Cameron Parish, Livingston Parish, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the City of Covington will all benefit from this funding.
“Louisiana families and communities are still recovering from storm after storm,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding provides relief and helps prepare our communities for the future.”
