WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today announced the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will grant a total of $9,087,127.03 to the Plaquemines Parish School Board, the East Baton Rouge School Board, and St. Charles Parish in relief for Hurricane Katrina, the Great Floods of 2016, and Hurricane Ida.
“Schools should be one of the first places we invest when rebuilding after a major storm. Some of these reimbursements have taken far too long,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding is welcome aid, but there is more work to do.”
