“The pandemic showed that America needs to make PPE in the United States,” said Dr. Cassidy. “SafeSource Direct does this while creating jobs in Louisiana. This is a win for Louisiana and the United States.”

Dr. Cassidy was also joined by Ochsner and SafeSource officials, including Ochsner Health President and CEO Warner Thomas.

“SafeSource Direct, in partnership with Ochsner Health, will create jobs and position Louisiana as a national leader in the production of high-quality and reliable PPE,” said Mr. Thomas. “We are grateful for Senator Cassidy’s support and, especially, his leadership in strengthening the U.S. supply chain for healthcare.”
