WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced today that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is awarding the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury nearly $51 million for Hurricane Laura debris removal.
“Lake Charles and southwestern Louisiana continue to rebuild after the devastating hurricanes last year. This award is a major step toward casting away the destruction and ushering in the future,” said Dr. Cassidy.
The total amount of the award is $50,782,500.
