WASHINGTON— U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. had the honor of meeting Frank Levingston of Louisiana, the oldest known World War II veteran, and thank him for his service. Frank was born on November 13, 1905 in north Louisiana and recently celebrated his 110th birthday. He was an Army private and served in the Naples-Foggia Campaign, or when the Allies invaded Italy, which lasted from September 1943 to January 1944. He was honorably discharged following the campaign in 1945. Frank currently resides in Lake Charles with family.
