Cassidy: Natural Gas Deal with China is Great News for Louisiana

WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), a member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, released the following statement regarding Cheniere Energy’s announcement it has signed two deals to sell American liquefied natural gas (LNG) to China National Petroleum Corporation, which will be partially fulfilled through the Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Cameron Parish, Louisiana:

“This is great news for working families in Louisiana,” said Dr. Cassidy. “From the wellhead to the liquefaction facility, people in Louisiana will benefit from selling more American-made energy. This is another example of Louisiana fueling America’s energy dominance and reaping the economic benefits of trade.”
