WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) released the following statement in response to legislation introduced by House and Senate Democrats to pack the Supreme Court.
“This court packing plan is as dangerous as it is reckless,” said Dr. Cassidy. “These Democratic members of Congress are not even waiting for their own party’s commission to investigate the idea before proposing a law to destroy the Supreme Court as we know it. This sets a dangerous precedent for future presidents and puts judicial independence at risk.”
