WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. released the following statement after the president released parameters of a deal [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)] reached with Iran on their nuclear program. The final details are expected to be written between now and June 30.
“Iran is a great threat and cannot be allowed a pathway to obtain or create a nuclear weapon. Congress needs to review and approve the deal to ensure it is in the best interest of Americans. Until Congress can confirm these negotiations meet our standards, and those of our allies, I will reserve judgement.”
