WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), a member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, will chair a hearing tomorrow on effective administration of the 340B drug pricing program.
Earlier this year, Cassidy introduced legislation to increase accountability in the 340B program to ensure drug discounts are passed on to patients.
A recent memo from the Congressional Research Service highlights multiple opportunities for abuse within the program.
