“Senator Cassidy’s concern about our hurricane recovery is sincere and we appreciate his continuing efforts to support federal disaster appropriations that are critical to restoring our campus and our region,” said Dr. Burckel. “Over the past 10 months, in addition to the COVID pandemic, we have faced two powerful hurricanes, an ice storm, tremendous flooding and personal issues. The impact of these disasters on our community is incalculable and federal assistance is urgently needed.”
