BATON ROUGE – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today toured Liberty Magnet High in Baton Rouge and visited MyHy’s headquarters.
“The pandemic challenged teachers and students. One of the lessons taught and learned at Liberty Magnet has been and is overcoming adversity,” said Dr. Cassidy.
At Liberty Magnet High School, Cassidy visited with students and teachers. Liberty Magnet offers pathway courses in engineering, biomedical sciences, digital design and media, and computer science to help students pursue educations in STEM fields.
“We appreciate Senator Cassidy coming by today and spending time with our students,” said Mr. Brandon Levatino, Principal of Liberty Magnet High School. “Our students and teachers had the opportunity to talk about what the federal government’s role in education and supporting students and teachers post-COVID could be.”
