WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today penned letter to the editor in The Advocate discussing how the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) addresses Louisiana’s hard infrastructure needs and vulnerabilities, which Hurricane Ida exposed last month.
“Hurricane Ida gave us a harsh reminder that we need to strengthen the infrastructure that protects us from storms — improving highways and evacuation routes, hardening our electric grid and investing in flood mitigation,” wrote Dr. Cassidy.
