WASHINGTON –U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $14,380,437.24 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricanes Laura and Ida relief.
“It is great to see money come to Louisiana as our resilient communities continue to recover,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help South Louisiana become whole again.”

$4,221,346.19 | Calcasieu Parish School Board | This grant will provide federal funding for building repairs to the S. J. Welsh Middle School due to damages as a result of Hurricane Laura. |
$2,202,876.85 | Lafourche Parish | This grant will provide federal funding for damages to the Golden Meadow Park baseball fields as a result of Hurricane Ida. |
$1,169,842.50 | Diocese of Houma Thibodaux | This grant will provide federal funding for the temporary relocation of Vandebilt Catholic High School as a result of Hurricane Ida. |
$6,786,371.70 | Terrebonne Parish | This grant will provide federal funding for streetlights and decorative lights restoration as a result of Hurricane Ida. |
