WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $14,730,189.49 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricanes Laura and Ida relief.
“Schools, law enforcement, churches, and hospitals are all pillars of our communities,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help each of them continue their recovery from the storms and in turn uplift our state.”

$8,248,844.55 | Calcasieu Parish School Board | This grant will provide federal funding for replacement of the DeQuincy High School Gymnasium as a result of Hurricane Laura. |
$1,222,830.83 | Calcasieu Parish Police Jury | This grant will provide federal funding for repairs to their Lake Charles Health Unit facilities as a result of Hurricane Laura. |
$1,624,371.11 | Moss Bluff Pentecostal Church | This grant will provide federal funding for the replacement of their main building and contents as a result of Hurricane Laura. |
$3,634,143.00 | Lafourche Parish Hospital Service District No. 1 | This grant will provide federal funding for interest and origination fees accrued on disaster recovery loans as a result of Hurricane Ida. |
