WASHINGTON –U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $14,006,595.94 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in hurricane and severe weather relief.
“Hurricanes and severe weather are a part of life for Louisianans, but our communities are resilient through it all,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help our state recover from past weather events and prepare for the next storm.”

$4,173,481.50 | Natchitoches Parish Port Commission | This grant will provide federal funding for dock repairs as a result of severe storms and flooding. |
$4,237,756.57 | Beauregard Electrical Cooperative | This grant will provide federal funding for permanent work repairs as a result of Hurricane Laura. |
$2,284,948.71 | Ascension Parish | This grant will provide federal funding for waterway debris removal operations required as a result of Hurricane Ida. |
$3,310,409.16 | Lafourche Parish | This grant will provide federal funding for permanent repairs to the Larose Park as a result of Hurricane Ida. |
