WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $14,090,773.50 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricanes Ida and Laura relief.
“Despite the impact of these hurricanes still being felt years later, Louisianans have remained resilient,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help our communities recover and rebuild.”

$1,316,565.93 | Greater Lafourche Port Commission | This grant will provide federal funding for permanent work as a result of Hurricane Ida. |
$4,261,662.00 | Cameron Parish JDEC Crown Substation Retrofit | This grant will provide federal funding for phase I of the construction of an electric substation and a 230kV transmission line as a result of Hurricane Laura. |
