Cassidy Announces $17.7 Million in Hurricanes Laura, Ida, Zeta Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisianawill receive $17,687,489.61 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in relief for Hurricanes Laura, Ida, and Zeta. Cassidy pushed to advance the Calcasieu Parish School Board grant application. 

“Despite the destruction of these hurricanes our communities have remained resilient,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help our schools get back to normalcy and will make activities, such as boating and fishing, accessible again.”

This grant will provide federal funding for damages to the public boat launch in Port Lafourche as a result of Hurricane Zeta.

Diocese of Houma- Thibodaux

This grant will provide federal funding to perform mold remediation for school buildings as a result of Hurricane Ida.
