WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $2,193,545.70 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricane Ida relief. St. Charles Parish will receive $1,074,667.50 in federal funding for permanent restoration of the Destrehan Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Houma-Terrebonne Airport Commission will receive $1,118,878.20 in federal funding to replace the Bristow Hangar building.
“Louisiana continues to feel the effects of Hurricane Ida, but resiliency has kept us going,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will allow our communities to return to wholeness.”
