Cassidy Announces $2.4 Million for Louisiana in Hurricane Ida Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $2,447,370.90 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as a result of Hurricane Ida. the Society of St. Vincent De Paul Archdiocesan Council will receive $1,047,272.40 for facility replacement. Xavier University of Louisiana will receive $1,400,098.50 for emergency protective measures.

“Louisiana was hit hard by Hurricane Ida, but we are resilient,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help our communities and universities continue to rebuild and prepare for the next storm.”
