WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today announced Louisiana will receive $29,877,633.63 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in relief for Hurricanes Laura and Ida.
“Our communities have been rocked by disaster after disaster,” said Dr. Cassidy. “The funding helps Louisiana families get back on their feet and be better prepared.”
The Calcasieu Parish School Board, Southwest Louisiana Electric Membership Corp., Vermilion Parish School Board, Franciscan Ministries of Our Lady Health System, Plaquemines Parish Sheriff Office, Dillard University, and Ochsner Clinic Foundation will all benefit from this funding.
