WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced that South Louisiana Electric Cooperative Association will receive a total of $3,674,290.22 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The federal funding will go towards emergency protective measures as a result of Hurricane Ida.
“The effects of Hurricane Ida are still felt today, but our communities remain strong,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help the South Louisiana Electric Cooperative Association continue to serve Louisianans and prepare for the next storm.”
