Cassidy Announces $4.8 Million for Louisiana Airports from His Infrastructure Law

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will grant Louisiana a total of $4,831,333.00 to improve local airports from his Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).

“Airports are often the most important impression for someone coming to invest in our cities to create jobs and opportunities for families,” said Dr. Cassidy. “Investment in our local airports from the Infrastructure Law is helping us build an economy for 2050.”

$1,063,815.00Chennault International Airport AuthorityThis grant will provide federal funding to rehabilitate the paved Taxiway A North.
$890,775.00City of HammondThis grant will provide federal funding to rehabilitate the paved Taxiway A, Taxiway E, and terminal apron at Hammond Northshore Regional Airport.  
$881,000.00Greater Lafourche Port CommissionThis grant will provide federal funding to construct a new terminal parking lot at South Lafourche Leonard Miller Jr. Airport.
$640,000.00Airport Authority District No. 1 Calcasiu ParishThis grant will provide federal funding to reconstruct the airport general aviation area access road at Lake Charles Regional Airport.  
$700,866.00Ascension-St. James Airport and Transportation AuthorityThis grant will provide federal funding to expand the existing terminal apron at Louisiana Regional Airport.
$354,877.00City of New Roads and Pointe Coupee ParishThis grant will provide federal funding to reseal the runway, taxiway, and apron pavement at False River Regional Airport.
$300,000.00City of RustonThis grant will provide federal funding to construct a new t-hangar taxi lane at Ruston Regional Airport.
