Cassidy Announces $9.6 Million in Hurricane Ida Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $9,634,675.10 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in relief for Hurricanes Ida and Laura. 

“Ida devastated families in South Louisiana, but we are resilient,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help our communities fully recover.” 

The Bayou Lafourche Fresh Water District will receive $4,127,623.10 as reimbursement for debris removal in the wake of Hurricane Ida, and the Southwest Louisiana Center for Health Services will receive $5,507,052.00 for building repairs in the wake of Hurricane Laura.
