The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office will receive $4,010,250.73 in federal funding for emergency protective measures as a result of Hurricane Ida. The Office of Risk Management will receive $1,242,982.80 in federal funding for permanent restoration of McNeese Cowboy Stadium as a result of Hurricane Laura.
“Hurricanes Laura and Ida left a physical mark on our communities, but they did not shake our resilience,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding is crucial for South Louisiana’s recovery and readiness for future storms.”
