Cassidy Announces $5.9 Million for Louisiana in Hurricane Ida, Laura Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $5,940,149.51 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricanes Ida and Laura Relief. 


“Hurricane Laura and Ida physically impacted our communities, but it did not rattle our resiliency,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This money will help South Louisiana rebuild and prepare for the next storm.”

$2,683,859.33St. John the Baptist ParishThis grant will provide federal funding for debris removal operations as a result of Hurricane Ida. 
$1,639,109.70South Louisiana Electric Cooperative AssociationThis grant will provide federal funding for damages as a result of Hurricane Ida.
