WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $5,940,149.51 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricanes Ida and Laura Relief.
“Hurricane Laura and Ida physically impacted our communities, but it did not rattle our resiliency,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This money will help South Louisiana rebuild and prepare for the next storm.”

$1,617,180.48 | Calcasieu Parish School Board | This grant will provide federal funding for for the permanent restorations of the Vincent Settlement School as a result of Hurricane Laura. |
$2,683,859.33 | St. John the Baptist Parish | This grant will provide federal funding for debris removal operations as a result of Hurricane Ida. |
$1,639,109.70 | South Louisiana Electric Cooperative Association | This grant will provide federal funding for damages as a result of Hurricane Ida. |
