WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced the Calcasieu Parish Voluntary Council on the Aging, Inc. will receive $4,944,971.70 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in relief for Hurricane Laura. The funding will be used for building replacement.
“Southwest Louisiana was hit hard by Hurricane Laura, but our communities have remained strong,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help Calcasieu Parish Voluntary Council on the Aging, Inc. make building repairs to continue providing services and outreach across the parish.”
