WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today announced the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will grant Louisiana a total of $5,379,934.41 in Hurricane Ida relief. The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office will receive $4,280,747.30 and the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Department will receive $1,099,187.11.
“Through multiple natural disasters, our law enforcement have been on the frontlines protecting Louisiana families.” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding supports our first responders and improves their ability to serve in the face of disaster.”
