Cassidy Announces $6.1 Million in Hurricane Ida Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will grant Louisiana a total of $6,160,056.71 in Hurricane Ida relief. Specifically, this funding will reimburse the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and the city of Thibodaux for costs related to emergency protective measures and debris removal. 

“Communities like Thibodaux were devastated by Ida, but Louisiana is resilient,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding is an important step towards fully rebuilding and recovering.”
