WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $8,040,659.17 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricanes Ida and Laura Relief.
“Louisiana families have shown great resiliency in the wake of both Hurricane Laura and Ida,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will allow our communities to continue their rebuilding efforts.”

$1,714,213.31 | Office of Risk Management | This grant will provide federal funding for permanent repairs to numerous damaged facilities at the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries as a result of Hurricane Laura. |
$1,048,779.96 | Louisiana Children’s Hospital | This grant will provide federal funding for emergency protective measures as a result of Hurricane Ida. |
$1,282,518.44 | Lafourche Parish | This grant will provide federal funding for management costs as a result of Hurricane Ida. |
$3,995,147.46 | Terrebonne Parish North Wastewater Treatment Plant | This grant will provide federal funding for permanent restoration as a result of Hurricane Ida. |
