WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today announced the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will grant Louisiana a total of $92,315,645.27 in relief for Hurricanes Katrina, Laura, Delta and Ida.
“This is big for families in Louisiana who have had a long road to recovery,” said Dr. Cassidy. “Louisiana is still rebuilding, but one thing is certain—we will fully rebuild.”
Communities all across Louisiana will benefit from these grants, including: the City of New Orleans, the Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff’s Office, the Lake Charles Harbor and Terminal District, the City of Sulphur, Rapides Parish, Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, the Chennault International Airport Authority, the Catahoula Parish Police Jury, St. Helena Parish, the City of Denham Springs, and the Tangipahoa Parish School System.
